Mantracker Rules
by Groove on Mar.23, 2009, under Vids
If you’ve never seen Mantracker, this is the idea:
2 people alone in the woods with a compass and a map, who have to travel around 50 kilometers in 36 hours. They’re known as ‘The Prey’.
The twist: they’re being hunted by Mantracker, on horseback, but he has no map, compass or any idea where they’re headed. Mantracker has to find their trail and catch them before they hit the finish line.
There is no prize. The prey are looking for glory. Mantracker is looking for them.
Courtesy of a Youtube user aptly named ‘Mantrackerfan’, now you can watch it all online! (sweet)
Update June 2012:
Well it looks like they finally took down all the Mantracker youtube videos.
BOOO URNS
Thanks to Mantrackerfan for keeping it alive as long as he did
apparently if you’re in Canada you can watch the new season with the new dude + (absurdly loud) commercials online at some site, bleh.
Also, to be clear, this page and website has no affiliation with the real Mantracker, the show or anything else.

Mantracker, if me and my friend are accepted to your show, you are going down. We are the most fit people in Alberta and we’ll beat you by simply out running you. We know all your tricks and we’ll be at the finish line before you figure out which way we are headed. See you out there maybe. Good luck, you’ll need it!

No offense to the producers, but it seems to me those chosen to be “prey” are no where near the sharpest knife in the drawer. It seems that an IQ of less than 70 is a requirement. Still, the show is enjoyable. Hope it enjoys a long run. MANTRACKER……HAVE THE PRODUCER PICK SOME PEOPLE BRIGHT ENOUGH TO STRETCH YOU.

Hate being redundant, but wouldn’t it be better tv if the prey had a plan and a sense of direction instead of squealing like preteen girls and running in the opposite direction every time they see mantracker. Really? Today there were 3 episodes on direct tv, and the common denominator for prey, “ability to get lost in a phone booth,” check! Two episodes, the guys had no idea where they were and couldn’t read the map. C’mon mantracker you are better than that.

Last, 4 out of 5 shows should be girls in shorts. Lauren and Jessica, provided eye candy. Very nice legs.

While I am too old and out of shape for Mantracker, I feel that if the Prey can defeat the horses, making them a liability to the trackers, that a victory is more likely. Therefore I was interested in Mantracker’s rules and parametrs. It occurs to me that Water is the best terrain with which to defeat the horses. making wet suita and a rubber raft useful whenever a lake is encountred. Further, it helps if the horses are spooked with a few sprinklings of dried elephant and camel manure, and maybe a squirt of wolf or ciugar urine. Bring along a few wolf, bear, and cougar calls, plus an ultrasonic whistle for good measure, and the Mantrackers would be frustrated into surrendering.

For those of you asking to be on the show…I hope you realize that this isn’t the official mantracker page, and that they don’t read this for potential prey.
